New CD Prices.

I've changed the prices for CDs from CD Baby and SnoCap on my Store page. Physical and digital CDs are now $7.99, and individual tracks from SnoCap are $0.75. (By the way, if you want to buy mp3s of the whole album, I get a higher percentage if you buy the album from CD Baby, so please buy it from there. Thanks!)

I'm an artist and I do not understand why everybody thinks music should be free and CD prices just should just keep going down.

I actually think you should sell your CD for $50. If I like it, I'll buy it. Why would a CD be different than a book? People pay different prices for different books. They ask no questions about it.

There is a tendency for unknown artists to price even less than major ones (i.e. Mariah Carey). While a major artist keeps making a lot of money by selling tons of copies at $15, a small indie artist should be able to price even $50 per CD as he/she will be selling many less copies than a major.

If people like your CD, they will buy it. Instead, this common non-sense has become so widely popular where people think that music is like bananas. Just sell them by the pound. I'd like to kindly ask those people then, please, just listen to bananas then.
